Actualización en enfermedad por el virus del Ébola

Resumen

El virus del Ébola es un virus ARN de la familia Filoviridae, el cual se asocia con múltiples muertes a nivel mundial por su alta virulencia y capacidad de diseminación. En la presentación clínica existen cuatro fases: febril temprana, gastrointestinal, shock o recuperación y las complicaciones tardías. Actualmente, se toman medidas preventivas que se basan en una identificación temprana de sujetos infectados con el virus, así como el inicio precoz de tratamiento y medidas de soporte.

Abstract

Ebola virus is an RNA virus of the Filoviridae family, which is associated with multiple deaths worldwide due to its high virulence and dissemination capacity. In the clinical presentation there are four phases: early febrile, gastrointestinal, shock or recovery and the late complications. Currently, preventive measures are taken based on an early identification of subjects infected with the virus, as well as the early start of treatment and support measures.
