Resumen

La obstrucción de la unión esofagogástrica (OUEG) es una entidad que ocurre secundaria a una alteración en la relajación del esfínter esofágico inferior (EEI), pero con una peristalsis conservada, diferenciándose así de la acalasia; su diagnóstico se realiza mediante una manometría esofágica de alta resolución. Este estudio tiene como propósito elaborar un estudio de los casos documentados entre los años 20182020 en el Hospital Max Peralta Jiménez de Cartago y comparar la información obtenida con la literatura mundial.

Abstract

Esophagogastric junction obstruction (EGJO) is an entity that occurs secondary to impaired relaxation of the lower esophageal sphincter (LES), but with preserved peristalsis, thus differentiating it from achalasia; and whose diagnosis is made by high-resolution esophageal manometry. The purpose of this study is to carry out a study of the documented cases between the years 2018-2020 at the Max Peralta Jiménez Hospital in Cartago and to compare the information obtained with the world literature.
